Critical PerspectiveThe Marxist Criticism is a literary theory created by Karl Marx. Karl Marx was a German philosopher, economist, sociologist, journalist, and revolutionary socialist. He is well known for his creation of Marxism, the worldview that focuses on social change through the lenses of history and social class. The Marxist Criticism theory is mostly used to analyze literature, examining and dissecting the social class of the author and their characters. Marx and his ideas can relate to immigrants by looking at the structure of the social class. Most immigrants are looked down upon, attached with a stigma that all they do is take things from Americans. You can also look at it through the economics factor. Why is it that hardworking people are the ones in poverty?
